Casa-atelier

part of the creative process

In Sarzana, on the farthest eastern part of Liguria, overlooking the narrow Lunigiana valleys, lies the casa -atelier, the home/workshop of Maria Candida Gentile. Her home and olfactory workshop, personal and professional spheres under the same roof, the place where she creates.

The casa -atelier is an important part of Maria Candida Gentile’s creative process: here the original intuitions get condensed, everything starts to take shape, the comfort of the domestic walls allowing greater creative processes.

The garden, the lemon, orange and cedar trees, full of flowers and houseplants. The wrought iron gazebo, a place to capture  energy from the world.

Sales and exhibition space

The olfactory creativity proceeds together with a classical training

The casa -atelier has a very particular and intimate spirituality about it, so much so it is also where Maria Candida Gentile’s creations will be soon exhibited and sold. On the ground floor of the property, nestled on the top of Monte d’Armolo’s hill in Sarzana, there is an ancient church dedicated to the Virgin Mary, with a nearby sacristy: the perfect non -commercial space, which is transformed into a show room, becoming the first conceptual shop exclusively dedicated to the MCG Collection.

Here you can try all of the 19 perfumes in the Collection, find out the stories behind them, discover the new range of scented candles, soap bars and liquid soap as well as the brand new Paracelso Alchemy range, suitable for all skin types.

It is no coincidence that Maria Candida Gentile’s flagship store will be inside such a place. She’s always been against the commodification of perfume art, and so the Nose strives to give her creations a space suspended between sky and Earth, sacred and non-nominational, that celebrates nature’s trappings and the artistic process at the base of every creation.
